About
Purified Mouse Anti-epstein-barr virus EBNA-1 (EBV) Antibody
E1-2.5, monoclonal
Epstein-Barr nuclear antigen 1 is a protein with a molecular weight of 56 kDa, expressed in the nucleus of the host cells. In human herpesvirus 4, EBNA-1 binds to DNA. It has been thought to be involved with key functions such as DNA-binding transcription factor activity. EBNA-1 aids in DNA replication, and in addition, has been found to be involved in organismal processes, for example, suppression by virus of host antigen processing and presentation, suppression by virus of host adaptive immune response and viral latency. EBNA-1 positively regulates DNA-templated transcription.
