Purified Mouse Anti-hepatitis b virus HBsAg (HBV) Antibody
HB5, monoclonal
Large envelope protein is a 49 kDa transmembrane protein that can be expressed in the virion membrane and integral component of membrane of cells. It is also known as L glycoprotein, major surface antigen and large surface protein. In Hepatitis B virus, major surface antigen is thought to be essential to organismal processes, in particular, caveolin-mediated endocytosis of virus by host cell, virion attachment to host cell and fusion of virus membrane with host endosome membrane. It recognizes N-myristoyl glycine by host. Sequencing of major surface antigen has demonstrated it contains 6 conserved structural units.
