About
Purified Mouse Anti-herpes simplex virus Glycoprotein G (HSV-2) Antibody
T303, monoclonal
Major surface glycoprotein G (sometimes called attachment glycoprotein G, mG or membrane-bound glycoprotein) is a transmembrane protein with a molecular weight of 38 kDa, expressed in the extracellular region, host cell surface and integral component of membrane of cells. Sequencing of major surface glycoprotein G has demonstrated it contains 2 conserved structural units: intravirion and virion surface domain. Major surface glycoprotein G is thought to be essential to organismal processes, for instance, virion attachment to host cell, mitigation of host immune response by virus and viral entry into host cell.
