GRB2-related adapter protein 2 is a 38 kDa protein that can be expressed in the nucleus, nucleoplasm and plasma membrane of cells. It is alternatively called Hematopoietic cell-associated adapter protein GrpL, Adapter protein GRID and Grf40 adapter protein. Sequencing of GRB2-related adapter protein 2 has supported it contains 3 types of conserved structural units: SH2, SH3 1 and SH3 2 domain. It is the subject of extensive examination stemming from the fact that it is a component of the Fc-ε receptor signaling pathway and T cell receptor signaling pathway. It takes part in organismal processes, for instance, T cell costimulation, cell-cell signaling and Ras protein signal transduction.
