Purified Mouse Anti-human HLA-F Antibody
3D11, monoclonal
HLA class I histocompatibility antigen, α chain F is a 39 kDa transmembrane protein that can be found in the phagocytic vesicle membrane, endoplasmic reticulum and external side of plasma membrane of cells. It is alternatively called Leukocyte antigen F, HLA F antigen and CDA12. Sequencing of HLA F has exemplified it contains 3 types of conserved structural units: Ig-like C1-type, cytoplasmic and extracellular domain. It takes part in organismal processes, namely, antigen processing and presentation of endogenous peptide antigen via MHC class Ib. HLA F is the subject of comprehensive research in part because of the fact that it plays a role in the interferon-γ-mediated signaling pathway and type I interferon signaling pathway. It aids in immune response. It is involved in the positive regulation of natural killer cell degranulation, natural killer cell cytokine production and T cell mediated cytotoxicity on the other hand also is a negative regulator of natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity, neuron death and natural killer cell cytokine production. HLA F reacts with peptide antigen, TAP2 and 14-3-3 protein.
