Leukocyte-specific transcript 1 protein is a transmembrane protein with a molecular weight of 11 kDa, expressed in the integral component of membrane, cytoplasm and Golgi apparatus of cells. In humans, leukocyte-specific transcript 1 protein is an integral part of organismal processes, for example, cell morphogenesis, immune response and dendrite development. Leukocyte-specific transcript 1 protein is thought to be essential to cell shape, and additionally, is an inhibitor of lymphocyte proliferation.
