About
Purified Mouse Anti-human/mouse/rabbit Actin (muscle) Antibody
HHF35, monoclonal
Actin, aortic smooth muscle (sometimes called Cell growth-inhibiting gene 46 protein or α-actin-2) is a protein with a molecular weight of 49 kDa, found in the extracellular exosome, cytosol and protein-containing complex of cells. In Homo sapiens, actin, aortic smooth muscle binds to protein kinase and ATP. It is thought to be essential to blood pressure. Actin, aortic smooth muscle promotes DNA-templated transcriptionand gene expression. Actin, aortic smooth muscle plays an important role in organismal processes, in particular, glomerular mesangial cell development, vascular smooth muscle contraction and response to virus. Mutations and abnormalities in actin, aortic smooth muscle have been closely linked to a number of diseases, for instance, moyamoya disease 5 (MYMY5), aortic aneurysm, familial thoracic 6 (AAT6) and multisystemic smooth muscle dysfunction syndrome (MSMDYS). Multisystemic smooth muscle dysfunction syndrome, an autosomal dominant inheritancedisorder, characterized by dilatation of the cerebral artery, volvulus of midgut and hyperperistalsis, has especially been of interest to investigators.
