Targeting protein for Xklp2 is a 86 kDa protein that can be expressed in the cytosol, intercellular bridge and axon hillock of cells. It is sometimes referred to as Hepatocellular carcinoma-associated antigen 90 and Restricted expression proliferation-associated protein 100. In humans, targeting protein for Xklp2t takes part in processes such as signal transduction by p53 class mediator, G2/M transition of mitotic cell cycle and mitotic spindle organization. It is an integral part of organismal processes, for example, activation of protein kinase activity, mitotic cell cycle and microtubule nucleation. Targeting protein for Xklp2 negatively regulates microtubule depolymerization. It binds with importin-α family protein and protein kinase.
