Purified Mouse Anti-human/non-human primates Granzyme B Antibody
CLB-GB11, monoclonal
Granzyme B (alternatively called Cathepsin G-like 1, SECT, Human lymphocyte protein, Fragmentin-2, C11, HLP, CTSGL1, T-cell serine protease 1-3E, Lymphocyte protease, Granzyme-2, CTLA-1 or Cytotoxic T-lymphocyte proteinase 2) is a protein with a molecular weight of 28 kDa, found in the nucleus, cytoplasm and cytosol of cells. In Homo sapiens, granzyme B is the subject of comprehensive research stemming from the fact that it plays a role in the positive regulation of protein insertion into mitochondrial membrane involved in apoptotic signaling pathway and granzyme-mediated apoptotic signaling pathway. Sequencing of granzyme B has shown it contains a primary structural unit, the peptidase S1 domain. Granzyme B has been thought to be involved with essential functions such as serine-type peptidase and serine-type endopeptidase activity. It aids in organismal processes, in particular, apoptotic process, natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity and cytolysis. It acts to negatively regulate translation.
