About
Purified Mouse Anti-human/non-human primates HLA-E Antibody
MEM-E/02, monoclonal
HLA class I histocompatibility antigen, α chain E is a 40 kDa transmembrane protein that can be found in the plasma membrane, cell surface and extracellular space of cells. Sequencing of HLA class I histocompatibility antigen, α chain E has shown it contains 3 types of conserved structural units: extracellular, cytoplasmic and Ig-like C1-type domain. HLA class I histocompatibility antigen, α chain E takes part in processes such as immune response and natural killer cell mediated immunity. It promotes antibody-dependent cellular cytotoxicity, tumor necrosis factor production and TRAIL production conversely also inhibits natural killer cell mediated cytotoxicity. HLA class I histocompatibility antigen, α chain E is the subject of comprehensive study in part because of the fact that it is involved with the type I interferon signaling pathway and interferon-γ-mediated signaling pathway. HLA class I histocompatibility antigen, α chain E binds to MHC class I protein, signaling receptor and T cell receptor.
