Purified Rabbit Anti-human GRB2 Antibody *PAb (554), monoclonal*
Growth factor receptor-bound protein 2 is a 25 kDa protein that can be found in the cytoplasm, Grb2-EGFR complex and vesicle membrane of cells. It is alternatively called Protein Ash, SH2/SH3 adapter GRB2 and Adapter protein GRB2. Sequencing of growth factor receptor-bound protein 2 has shown it contains 3 types of conserved structural units: SH2, SH3 2 and SH3 1 domain. Growth factor receptor-bound protein 2 takes part in organismal processes, in particular, membrane organization, leukocyte migration and anatomical structure formation involved in morphogenesis. It is the subject of extensive study because of the fact that it is a member of the fibroblast growth factor receptor signaling pathway, interleukin-15-mediated signaling pathway and neurotrophin TRK receptor signaling pathway. Growth factor receptor-bound protein 2 binds with neurotrophin TRKA receptor, insulin receptor substrate and protein-containing complex, and in addition, promotes actin filament polymerization, Ras protein signal transduction and protein kinase B signaling. Growth factor receptor-bound protein 2 plays an important role in MAPK cascade.
