B-cell linker protein is a protein expressed in the cytoplasmic ribonucleoprotein granule, plasma membrane and cytoplasm of cells. Sequencing of B-cell linker protein has shown it contains a primary structural unit, the SH2 domain. It has been found to be involved in organismal processes, for example, intracellular signal transduction and B cell activation. B-cell linker protein is the subject of comprehensive application because of the fact that it is a component of the transmembrane receptor protein tyrosine kinase signaling pathway.
