Overview

Its 10X format allows dilution to 1X working concentration for preparing dye-loading solutions with commonly used AM ester calcium indicators. The AAT technical sheet describes compatibility with calcium dyes such as Indo-1 AM, Fura-2 AM, Fluo-3 AM, Fluo-4 AM, Fluo-8 AM, Rhod-2 AM, and Rhod-4 AM.

The formulation contains Phenol Red Plus™ and water-soluble, heat-stable probenecid. Phenol Red Plus™ supports no-wash calcium assay workflows by helping reduce extracellular background from calcium indicators, while probenecid helps inhibit dye extrusion mediated by drug-efflux or organic anion transporter activity.
