XFD488 Anti-mouse CD86 Antibody
GL-1
GL-1 is an anti-mouse monoclonal antibody that recognizes the CD86 antigen. CD86 (sometimes called B7-2 or B70) is a 80 kD glycoprotein that is expressed on the surface of cells such as T cells. CD86 is associated with a variety of biologically interesting macromolecules/ligands, namely, CD152 (CTLA-4). CD86 is a very popular antibody target, with over 21000 publications in the last decade. CD86 has been widely used in cell biology research, commonly serving as a phenotypic marker for differentiating cell types in flow cytometric applications. This antibody was purified through affinity chromatography and conjugated to XFD488 (ex/em = 499/520 nm). XFD488 is manufactured by AAT Bioquest, and it has a chemical structure similar to that of Alexa Fluor® 488 (Alexa Fluor® is the trademark of Thermo Fisher). It is compatible with the 488 nm laser and 525/50 nm bandpass filter (for example, as in the Miltenyi Biotec MACSQuant VYB).
