XFD594 Anti-rabbit/ ferret/ cow/ human CD88 Antibody
S5/1
S5/1 is an anti-rabbit/ ferret/ cow/ human monoclonal antibody that forms an immune complex with the CD88 antigen. CD88 (also known as C5R1 or C5AR) is a 43 kD transmembrane glycoprotein that is expressed on the surface of cells like endothelial cells, dendritic cells, granulocytes and macrophages. CD88 is associated with a variety of biologically interesting macromolecules/ligands, for example, anaphylatoxin. CD88 is a relatively rare antibody target, with fewer than 700 publications in the last decade. Even still, CD88 is often used in flow cytometry applications as a phenotypic marker for differentiation of cell types, especially in the study of innate immunity and cell biology. This antibody was purified through affinity chromatography and conjugated to XFD594 (ex/em = 590/618 nm). XFD594 is manufactured by AAT Bioquest, and it has a chemical structure similar to that of Alexa Fluor® 594 (Alexa Fluor® is the trademark of Thermo Fisher). It is compatible with the 592 nm laser and 610/30 nm bandpass filter (for example, as in the Luminex Amnis ImageStream).
