How do I calculate PCR efficiency?

Posted November 30, 2020

Answer

PCR efficiency can be calculated based on the slope of the standard curve. Slopes ranging between -3.1 and -3.6 typically equate to reaction efficiencies that range between 90 and 110%, respectively. The following equation is used to calculate PCR efficiency:

E = -1+10(-1/slope)
