Immobilized metal affinity chromatography (IMAC) is used to purify proteins based on their affinity to specific metal ions. It is widely used to purify monoclonal antibodies, enzymes, blood factors, albumin, interferons, immunoglobulins, and many other proteins and polypeptides.
