Answer

IHC double staining is a technique used to detect two different antigens in a tissue sample. An advantage of of IHC double staining is that this technique can save time and tissue samples. There are different variations on technique, including sequential and simultaneous. Sequential double staining is preferred for epitopes which are in different cellular compartments or different cell types. Simultaneous double staining should be used when the antibodies that are used come from different hosts.
