Which hydrogen peroxide assays can I use if NADH is present in my sample?

Posted June 28, 2018

Which of your hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) assay kits (Cat# 11501 and 11502) should I use to avoid any interference with NADH? I have around 50-100 μM of NADH in my sample.

Answer

We tested both of our Amplite® Fluorimetric Hydrogen Peroxide Assay Kits using samples containing 80 μM of NADH. NADH was dissolved in PBS, Tris buffer, HH buffer and other phosphate buffers with a pH ranging from 7-8. Under various different conditions, Cat# 11502 showed zero interference with NADH when detecting H2O2. For your experiment, we recommend Cat# 11502.
