How do I mutate plasmids?

Plasmids can be mutated using restriction enzymes or ligation enzymes. Restriction enzymes can be used to cleave portions of one genome to be inserted into a plasmid, thus mutating the plasmid. PCR can also be used to mutate plasmids.
