Is RNA editing better than DNA editing?

Posted October 22, 2022

Answer

RNA editing is considered to be much safer than DNA editing because the modifications are not permanent. If things go wrong, the changes that were made to the RNA molecule are temporary and can be reversed if needed. In contrast, making changes directly to a DNA molecule are permanent, and the damages cannot be reversed.
