What are circular RNAs (circRNAs)?

Circular RNA (circRNA) are covalently closed RNA. In circular RNA, the 3’ and 5’ ends that are usually present in an RNA molecule are joined together creating a loop. This circular structure makes it more stable than other RNAs. It has also been linked to some diseases and cancer.
