Flow cytometry experiments use different types of lasers as their light source. The most common lasers used in flow cytometers include: 

  • 355 nm Ultraviolet (UV) 
  • 405 – 407 nm Violet 
  • 488 nm Blue
  • 532 nm Green
  • 561 - 568 nm Green-Yellow
  • 633- 640 nm – Red
