Adsorption is an enzyme immobilization technique in which interactions such as hydrophobic forces and salt bridges are used to attach enzymes onto the surface of a solid support material. 
Disadvantages of Adsorption:
  • Modest yield
  • Surface area for enzyme binding is small
  • The enzyme gets desorbed from its carrier
