What are the examples of oxidative enzymes?

Posted July 6, 2023

Answer

Oxidative enzymes are enzymes that catalyze oxidation reactions and increase the rate at which ATP is generated aerobically. Oxidases and peroxidases are the two most common examples of oxidative enzymes. Oxidases use molecular oxygen to catalyze oxidation reactions, peroxidases use hydrogen peroxide to catalyze oxidation reactions.
