Posted May 19, 2022

Answer

Prokaryotic cells are identified by the absence of a membrane-bound nucleus. Their genetic material, which consists of a single circular DNA, is found in the nucleoid, an irregularly-shaped central region of the cell.

These are 10 examples of prokaryotic cells:

  • Escherichia Coli Bacterium
  • Cyanobacteria
  • Lactobacillus Acidophilus
  • Streptococcus Bacterium
  • Streptococcus Pyogenes
  • Bacillus Cereus
  • Bacillus Anthracis
  • Archaea
  • Corynebacterium diphtheria
  • Sulfolobus acidocaldarius archaebacteria
