What are the similarities between 70s ribosomes and 80s ribosomes?

70S ribosomes and 80S ribosomes are both ribonucleoprotein complexes composed of rRNA and proteins. The smaller subunit in both types of ribosomes has a single rRNA strand. Both, 70S and 80S ribosomes function as workbenches for synthesizing protein.
