What are the similarities between lysosomes and endosomes?

Lysosomes and endosomes are two types of membrane-bound vesicles found in the cytoplasm of eukaryotic cells. Both vesicles can form from the Golgi apparatus and both contain substances essential for optimum cell function. Both play key roles in endocytosis and phagocytosis.
