What is fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS)?

Posted April 10, 2024

Answer

Fluorescence-activated sorting (FACS) is a laboratory technique used to analyze, sort, and purify specific cell populates based on their physical and chemical characteristics detected by flow cytometry. This provides scientists with a better understanding of the characteristics of a single cell population without interference by other cells.
