What is RNA-seq?

RNA-seq (RNA sequencing) is a technique used to measure the amount and sequence of RNA in a sample using next-generation sequencing (NGS). It provides insight into gene expression patterns by analyzing the transcriptome—the complete set of RNA transcripts in a cell.
