Posted December 15, 2023

Answer

The purpose of cryopreserving cultured cells is to prevent contamination-related losses, prevent aging or transformation in cells with limited lifespans, or lessen genetic alterations in cultured cells. Prior to freezing, cells should be labeled and screened to ensure they are free from contamination.
