Answer

There are several different types of acids. Each acid plays a vital but different role in the human body.

Amino acids play a crucial role in synthesizing proteins, which is essential for the growth and repair of various body tissues.

Nucleic acids are responsible for producing DNA (deoxyribonucleic acid) and RNA (ribonucleic acid) and transmitting traits from the parent to the offspring through the genes.

Hydrochloric acid, which is present in the stomach, is essential for breaking down complex food molecules, thus facilitating digestion.

Carbonic acid plays a vital role in regulating the body’s pH equilibrium.
