When does cytokinesis occur?

Posted November 30, 2022

Answer

In most cells, cytokinesis occurs between anaphase and telophase. Cytokinesis is initiated during the anaphase stage. This is the stage of cell division in which the chromosomes unravel and split into two. Each part moves to the opposite poles of the cell. Cytokinesis ends in telophase, the final phase of cell division, which is characterized by the complete separation of the chromosomes.
