Which one should I choose, BCA or Bradford assay?

Answer
One should use the BCA assay if they need to measure a broad range of protein concentrations, as the assay is suitable for both low and high protein concentrations. It is also better for working with a broader range of sample types. Additionally, if samples contain detergents, buffers, or reducing agents, the BCA assay is more tolerant of these substances due to its two-step reaction process. The Bradford assay works best with pure protein samples. One should use the Bradford assay if they need results very quickly (5-30 minutes), as the BCA assay typically takes longer (30 minutes to 2 hours). The Bradford assay should also be used if higher sensitivity is required; this assay can detect protein concentrations as low as 1-20 μg/mL.
