What is a lipid lens?

Posted April 16, 2021

Answer

A lipid lens is a distinctively stable accumulation of lipids on a curved surface. It naturally occurs fairly often (most commonly with contact lenses) and is a valuable kind of lipid spatial distribution for study, since standard immunhistochemical techniques cannot be applied.
