Do eukaryotic cells have a nucleus?

Posted August 12, 2022

Answer

Yes, eukaryotic cells do have a nucleus, which contains the cell’s genetic material. It’s important to note that all eukaryotic cells have a nucleus regardless if they are single-cell, multicellular, or are animal cells, plant cells, or algae. Prokaryotes are the only organism that do not contain a nucleus. Rather, their genetic material is free floating in the cytoplasm called a nucleoid.
