Posted April 12, 2024

Answer

Chromosomal abnormality refers to a condition where there is a change in the structure or number of chromosomes in an individual's cells. These changes can affect either autosomes (non-sex chromosomes) or sex chromosomes, and they can involve alterations in a single chromosome or multiple chromosomes. Specifically, the changes can involve gains or losses of entire chromosomes, as well as inversions, deletions or exchanges within chromosomes.
