What are Next Generation Sequencing(NGS) libraries?

An NGS library comprises a collection of DNA fragments of uniform size, each tagged with known adapter sequences at both the 5' and 3' ends. A library represents one sample, and several libraries, each with distinct adapter sequences, can be combined and sequenced together in a single sequencing experiment.
