What are the differences between phage display and hybridoma?

Posted August 25, 2022

Answer

There are several differences between phage display and hybridomas. The phage display process is fast and it can screen a larger diversity of antibodies. However, it is more expensive, more difficult to do, and the binders may have a lower affinity. Hybridomas can generate large amounts of antibodies with high specificity and high sensitivity at a lower cost. But they do require a longer generation time and often require humanization.
