What are the similarities between cell membrane and cytoplasm?

Answer

There are various similarities between cell membrane and cytoplasm. One similarity is that both the cell membrane and cytoplasm are intracellular components. Another similarity is that both are vital for giving shape to the cell. Additionally, proteins, carbohydrates, and lipids can be found in both the cytoplasm and cell membrane. Both the cell membrane and cytoplasm play an important role for the survival of the cell; the cytoplasm is responsible for holding/protecting components of the cell while the cell membrane provides a fixed environment inside the cell.
