What are the similarities between real time PCR and nested PCR?

Posted February 28, 2024

Answer

Nested PCR and real-time PCR are both modifications of conventional PCR assays. Each technique involves the use of specific primers to amplify target DNA sequences. Both techniques are sensitive and capable of detecting low amounts of target DNA in the sample. Additionally, both methods have a wide range of applications in various fields, including molecular biology, microbiology and diagnostics.
