What is immunological memory?

Posted February 28, 2024

Answer

Immunological memory refers to the immune system's capacity to react faster and more efficiently to pathogens it has faced before. This heightened response is due to the presence of a larger population of specialized lymphocytes that recognize specific antigens developed through prior exposure to the pathogen.
