The central nervous system (CNS) and the peripheral nervous system (PNS) are two components of the human nervous system. Both work together to regulate all body functions.
The central nervous system is made up of the brain and spinal cord. It is involved in integrating, processing, and coordinating sensory input and motor output.
The peripheral nervous system is made up of all the nerves outside of the CNS that go to the different body parts. It connects the central nervous system and the rest of the body by collecting motor commands from the CNS and transmitting the signals to various peripheral tissues and systems.
