No, our Cell Meter™ Apoptotic and Necrotic Multiplexing Detection Kits are not intended for use with a microplate reader. These kits are designed to be used with a fluorescence microscope or flow cytometer.

These kits employ fluorescent probes which require washing steps prior to imaging. Therefore, it is difficult to maintain the same cell number in control wells and in wells containing apoptotic cells because apoptotic cells can be easily washed away.
