Posted April 2, 2020

Answer

While reactive oxygen species have the potential to cause cell damage as a by-product of oxidative phosphorylation, they have also been shown to play a role in cell signaling, as well as in regulation of processes important for cell proliferation, differentiation, migration, and death.
