What happens if the nervous system doesn't function properly?

The nervous system is a complex, highly sophisticated system that plays a pivotal role in regulating and coordinating all body function and activities. It is made up of the brain, spinal cord, and various nerves. If the nervous doesn’t function properly, it can result in a wide range of problems including but not limited to: 

  • Partial or total loss of feeling in the limbs or some other part of the body
  • Partial or total loss of vision or double vision
  • Lack of coordination
  • Loss of muscle strength or muscle rigidity
  • Slurred speech
  • Impaired mental ability
  • Partial or total memory loss 
  • Mood disorders
  • Persistent fatigue
  • Trouble concentrating
  • Difficulty falling asleep
  • Unexplained aches and pains
