Where are somatic cells found?

Posted February 1, 2024

Answer

Somatic cells are found throughout the body except in sperm and eggs. These cells contain the diploid number of chromosomes and are involved in growth and development. They are also responsible for repairing damaged cells and replacing old ones. Somatic cells divide and duplicate their DNA during mitosis, creating two identical cells.
