Answer

Ethidium bromide (EtBr) is dark red in color. It has a UV absorbance maximum at 300 and 360 nm, and an emission maximum at 590 nm.

EtBr is available as a dark red, odorless, crystalline powder and is moderately soluble in water. It emits intense red-orange fluorescence at around 205 nm in wavelength.
