What are general principles of continuous culture?

Posted March 21, 2024

Answer

Continuous culture is achieved by consistently adding fresh growth medium and removing used medium from specially designed culture vessels. This inflow of fresh medium is matched by an outflow of spent medium, along with cells. The factors affecting this system include how materials flow through the reactor, determined by its design, and the kinetics of the reaction occurring within.
