What cellular structure is considered the worker of the cell and why?

Ribosomes are the cellular structures that are considered to be the “workers” of the cell because of their ability to make molecules. Ribosomes make and build proteins from amino acids according to the genetic structure of one’s DNA. All living cells need ribosomes to make the proteins that are necessary for survival. Protein synthesis is essential for cell activities, and without ribosomes protein synthesis could not be carried out. Ribosomes exist in prokaryotes and eukaryotes.
